News! :)

Well, I've known I'm pregnant since december, but have just got around to getting a picture up . . . we also have some ultrasound pictures, but haven't been able to scan them yet.... we HAVE found out there is a 90% chance she's a girl! (Thanks Tammy!) Also, this past weekend we went to Seattle to visit family, and Paul (my brother) took Edwin and I to Burlington Coat Factory, and we were so excited to find a bedding set on clearance (50% off!!) and we also found accessories like the mobile and a curtan.... we were very excited! Also, last weekend, Edwin took me to Spokane for a Jays of Clay concert.... we had a really nice time.... walking around the city, eating out, and hanging out together. What a great time!
. . ¡Qué bonito pasar así!

Trip to El Salvador

Well, Christmas was a blast in El Salvador! :) Our first week there, we were able to hook up with Gerardo, Rita, Beautiful Ally, and Chepito. We went to a popular Mexican restaurant . . . yes, we do have to go to a RESTAURANT to eat Mexican food . . .called Felipe's...
. . llamado Felipe's.

Christmas Eve, as usual, was full of dancing, awesome turkey and rice, firecrackers (we had some close calls!), and of course, VERY exciting present opening at midnight . . .

THEN, Andy and Sarah joined us . . . and right off the bat, tried our famous pupusas!! We had an awesome time going ALL over the country (it seemed) . . . lounging at the beach, visiting smaller communites to share some love and toys, getting to know special places like Verapaz, Apaneca, Suchitoto, La Libertad . . . and so on.... Thanks for coming, guys!!
LUEGO, llegaron Andy y Sarah . . . . . y así . . . ¡¡gracias por venir!!

My Students

Just thought I'd put some pictures of some of my students when we did some Christmas centers at school. Aren't they cute! I can say that 'cause they are so . . . stationary!

. . quietos.

An Early Christmas!

December 16, 17, and 18 was a blast, except for one thing . . .Lisa's absence. We all knew we wouldn't be together for Actual Christmas . . . Kelly, Jon and the kids would be in Seattle with Jon's family, Edwin and I would be in El Salvador with Edwin's family, and Paul and Christy would be in Virginia with her family . . . so we all decided to celebrate OUR Christmas early, but together. Friday, we had a DELICIOUS breakfast at the Hoxworth's (thank you Doug and Nicole!), then we headed off to see our much anticipated movie: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! Of course, we played many games of Settlers and on Saturday... we had the gift frenzy, followed by a WONDERFUL, traditional, turkey meal. It felt like Christmas to us! It was even a white Christmas, though only Jon, Mom and Dad might have identified much with a WHITE Christmas... we still need our firecrackers for it to be Christmas.... :) hee, hee.... but we had a great time!

. . pero sí que nos divertimos.

Elizabeth's birthday

December 5th, 2005, we had great fun celebrating Elizabeth's 11th birthday!! Kelly decorated her house colorfully, prepared games (Salvadoran Style!) for all the kids, and we had delicious cake. Elizabeth sure enjoyed all her presents! Happy Birthday!! :)
