Move it, move it!

Natalia is suddenly mobile!! :) Here is a video of her moving around on her tummy, but she has actually discovered how to crawl just yesterday! :) And today I saw her pull herself up to a standing position... :) and so, she becomes mobile. I also caught a video of Tory making Natalia laugh one night when we were having dinner.... Natalia has a loud laugh/scream when she gets excited and Tory is one of the few who really get her laughing quickly! :)

De pronto Natalia ya esta mobil! Aquí hay un video de ella arrastrandose por su estómago, pero ayer descubrió como gatear un poco! :) Y hoy la vi jalarse hasta estar parada.... y así de pronto, se ha hecho mobil...también una noche capturé un video de cómo Tory hace reír tanto a Natalia... cuando Natalia se emociona grita y se ríe. Es bien ruidosa :) Y Tory la hace reir fácilmente... :)

Overbooked

I met Barbara-Lee during my university days. It was always such a great time away from campus for me, and Barbara-Lee always spoke of her dream of being a missionary in Mexico. The last time I saw her was about six years ago, when they were raising support to go to Mexico, and their firstborn, Drew, was only a few months old. I was so excited when I found out she would be passing through during their furlough! So we set it up for 4pm.... I had not realized it was also graduation week (Edwin and I know many high schoolers from church activities), and a few other friends had other things planned as well. All of the sudden, this is how my day ended up being scheduled:

-10am: Bridal shower

-12:30: Graduation party

-1:00: Baby shower

-1:00: Graduation party

-3:30: Graduation party

-4:00: Meet with Barbara-Lee and her family

Well, unfortunately, I was not able to make it to all those activities. :( But we did our best! And we had such a wonderful time with Tim, Barbara-Lee and their precious children.

Conocí a Barbara-Lee durante mis años en la universidad. Siempre era tan relajante poder irla a visitar y aliviar el estres de los estudios. Barbara-Lee siempre hablaba de su sueño de ser misionera en México. La última vez que la ví fue hace como seis años cuando su primer hijo, Drew, sólo tenía unos meses de vida y estaban recaudando fondos para ser misioneros. Cuando oí que ella y su familia iban a estar de visita nuevamente durante su tiempo de visita en los Estados Unidos estaba muy emocionada. Arreglamos vernos como a las 4pm. No sabía que ese fin de semana también estaría llena de muchas fiestas de graduación, pues muchos estudiantes que conocemos se graduaron. También unas amigas pensaron que ese sería el día perfecto para tener sus celebraciones. Así terminó siendo mi horario para ese día:

-10:00am: un té para novia

-12:30pm: fiesta de graduación

-1:00pm: un baby shower

-1:00pm: fiesta de graduación

-3:30pm: fiesta de graduación

-4:00pm: mi reunión con Barbara-Lee

Desafortunadamente, no pudimos ir a todas las actividades, pero hicimos lo mejor que pudimos. Y el tiempo que tuvimos con Tim, Barbara-Lee y sus preciosos hijos fue muy especial.

Fun in the sink!

Natalia has followed in her big sisters footsteps and just had the best time playing in the water in the sink with Tory. :) I also captured a short video of Natalia laughing.... :) Enjoy!

Natalia está siguiendo en los pasos de su hermana mayor al jugar en el agua en el lavamanos con Tory. :) También pude capturar un corto video de Natalia riéndose.... :) Disfruten! :)

Natalia Update

I am doing a poor job on keeping up with all of Natalias milestones and such... she is 7 and a half months old, and the last time she had a check-up was when she was 6 months. Well, anyway, she is certainly growing well, weighing in at 15 lbs, 15 oz. at that time. She still gets up two or three times during the night to eat and takes two naps during the day... she is not too motivated to turn over and move about. She likes to be held the best. :) But I have been putting her down a lot, too. She does scoot around in a circle very well and when I am holding her, she leans one way or another to get ME to move to what is interesting her. When she is excited, her whole body moves... her arms wave, her legs kick, and she crinkles up her nose to make a sort of snuffling sound. Water, Tory, different sounds around the house, and laughter bring on her excited, snuffling sound. :) Her two bottom teeth have come through, and she has begun to eat cereals, veggies, and some fruit. I think Tory must be one of her most favorite playthings.... :) she squeals if Tory looks and talks to her and allows Tory to hug on her. Tory does very well sharing her toys. She has also tried to help me feed her a few times. :) I got a cute video of that, but it would not download for me. :(

No estoy haciendo un muy buen trabajo manteniendo información sobre el crecimiento de Natalia.... ya tiene 7meses y medio y la última vez que la llevé al doctor fue para su chequeo de 6 meses. En ese chequeo pesó 15 libras y 15 onzas. Aún se levanta dos o tres veces en la noche para comer, y toma sus dos siestas durante el día.... no está muy motivada para voltearse y moverse por el suelo. Le gusta más que la anden cargando. :) Pero, sí la pongo en el suelo bastante para que juegue y quisás se anime uno de estos días. Puede moverse bien en un círculo y cuando yo la cargo mueve su cuerpo con fuerza para que yo me ponga donde ella quiere estar. :) Cuando se emociona, todo su cuerpo se mueve... sus brazos alatean, sus piernas patalean y fruñe su nariz al hacer un ruido chistoso con la nariz. El agua, Tory, diferentes sonidos por la casa y la riza hace que se emocione. Ya le entraron los dos dientes de abajo y ya comenzó a comer cereales, verduras y fruta. Creo que Tory es uno de sus juguetes favoritos. :) Se pone TAN contenta y se pone a gritar y a reir cuando Tory la mira y le habla. También deja que Tory la abraze y juegue con ella. Tory comparte muy bien con su hermanita. Un par de veces me ha ayudado a alimentar a Natalia. Saqué un video bien bonito de eso pero no me dejó ponerlo este programa.
