Spokane

September 25-26, Edwin took us to Spokane for a fun time together! :) We walked around the park and found the famous Carousel, and wagon slide. It was the first time Natalia rode a carousel. I was surprised by how fast it went and was very glad they asked us to put on the safety belt! :) It was such fun! We also got to see Cirque Alegria. They are amazing!

Mee Mee

About a month or so ago, this white cat shows up on our back porch. Now, a cat showing up on our porch is actually quite a common occurrence. I am pretty sure every neighbor in my cul-de-sac has at least one, if not two, cats (except my neighbors right next door, who only seem to love dogs). But this cat was different. First of all, it did not run away scared to death just because I looked out the window at it. It was very friendly, and young. Secondly, it had beautiful blue eyes and reminded me of a white cat we used to own when I lived at home. Thirdly, it was very tolerant of tiny fingers, and extremely friendly. Lastly, it was, unfortunately, a boy. We pet it and admired it for a while and it was such a joy and Tory loved it so much, that I decided to give it just a little bit of food, because it was also very, very skinny. This might be silly, but I am a little surprised to find that this cat has continued coming back. I still am not convinced it is staying, nor that it is ours, but when it is here, we sure enjoy him. We even let him come inside and usually he sleeps all day on a cushion on a chair. The very first day, I asked Tory what she wanted to name him, and she immediately said Mee Mee. A few days later I realized she was trying to say Millie, after the dog my grandparents were dogsitting for a week. But Mee Mee stuck.

Taya stepping out...

Natalia started taking steps between people. She would squeal, take a few steps toward you, then just let herself fall forward. It has become harder to get her to keep practicing her stepping... she prefers to drop back to crawling now, and boy can she crawl! :)

El Salvador - Ministry Time

Here are some pictures of the team during the VBS camp held in El Salvador the first week of August. We worked with kids from the church La Familia de la Fe in Santa Ana all week. It was the first time since Tory was born, that we finally got her to participate in a church activity with kids her age. Her smile is worth a thousand words.... :) The team also visited a couple communities and an orphanage, and they did some much-needed landscaping on the church property. Because of all the rain, there has been a lot of damage. So the plants planted will help with the erosion. We thank all of you who prayed for us and supported us financially as well. May God bless you!!
