An Early Christmas!

December 16, 17, and 18 was a blast, except for one thing . . .Lisa's absence. We all knew we wouldn't be together for Actual Christmas . . . Kelly, Jon and the kids would be in Seattle with Jon's family, Edwin and I would be in El Salvador with Edwin's family, and Paul and Christy would be in Virginia with her family . . . so we all decided to celebrate OUR Christmas early, but together. Friday, we had a DELICIOUS breakfast at the Hoxworth's (thank you Doug and Nicole!), then we headed off to see our much anticipated movie: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! Of course, we played many games of Settlers and on Saturday... we had the gift frenzy, followed by a WONDERFUL, traditional, turkey meal. It felt like Christmas to us! It was even a white Christmas, though only Jon, Mom and Dad might have identified much with a WHITE Christmas... we still need our firecrackers for it to be Christmas.... :) hee, hee.... but we had a great time!

El 16, 17 y 18 de diciembre fueron dias muy divertidos, menos el hecho de no tener a Lisa con nosotros. Todos sabíamos que no ibamos a estar juntos para la navidad verdadera . . . Jon, Kelly y los niños estarían en Seattle con la familia de Jon, Edwin y yo estaríamos en El Salvador con la familia de Edwin y Pablo y Christy estarían en Viginia con la familia de ella . . . asi que decidimos celebrar NUESTRA Navidad temprano, pero juntos. El viernes vimos una pelicula muy anticipada por nosotros: El león, la bruja y el ropero. Por supuesto, jugamos mucho un juego que se llama Settlers y el sabado . . . abrimos todos los regalos como locos, seguido por un delicioso almuerzo de pavo tradicional. ¡Se sintió como navidad! Hasta Jon y mis papás tuvieron una navidad blanca, aunque para nosotros faltaban los cohetes para que fuera una navidad de verdad . . ja, ja . . . pero sí que nos divertimos.
