It is amazing the difference a year makes! Last Christmas, Tory was only 4 months old, barely reaching out to grab things! Now, here she is, almost running, and babbling happily away.  Edwin's family took us to a beautiful mountain called MiraMundo, or Lookout to the World.  Tory had a blast with her cousins: Alejandro and Gabriela.

Es asombroso la diferencia que hace un año en la vida de un niño.  La Navidad pasada Tory solo tenía 4 meses y apenas agarraba cosas.  Ahora casi corre y hace ruiditos, tratando de hablar.  La familia de Edwin nos llevó a una bella montaña llamada MiraMundo.  Tory disfrutó mucho con sus primos: Alejandro y Gabriela.

Christmas Morning! :)

Ok you guys!! Here we go... MAJOR catch up here....  :)   All of December in ONE post! :)  hee, hee. Crying on Christmas morning?? No way!! Tory just wanted you to see all her beautiful teeth, especially her new right molar... can you see it there?   :)  She had a great time opening her presents.... :)  We got the actual unwrapping on a video camera, so these are from later.  

Bueno, gente.... aquí vamos.... voy a poner un MONTON de fotos..... :) Todo diciembre en una sessión!! :)  ji, ji.  Llorando en Navidad?? Nunca!! Tory sólo les quería enseñar sus bellos dientes, especialmente su nueva muela.... lo pueden ver ahí?  :) Se divirtió mucho abriendo sus regalos... :) No tomamos fotos de cuando los abrió porque eso lo tuvimos en un video cámara . . . así que estos son de después....

Around the house and Cookie Exchange

Here are just some random house pics... :)  She got herself into the laundry basket and took one of her favorite books with her... (Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb)....and the others are self-explanatory... :)

Aqui hay unas fotos tomadas en casa..... :) Se metió en la canasta para ropa con su libro favorito...... y las otras fotos se explican por si mismas.... :)

Our friend, Shannon, came up with this fun activity! :) A group of us went over to her house and our kids decorated cookies! :)  They also ran around the house, and chased each other.  The goodies were yummy and it was a lot of fun hanging out with other moms! :)

Nuestra amiga, Shannon, nos invitó a su casa para esta actividad divertida. :) Un grupo de mamás fuimos a su casa y nuestros hijos decoraron galletas! :)  También corrieron por la casa persiguiendose. Estaban bien ricas las galletas y fue divertido ver a otras mamás. :)

Tory's first hockey game!

I can't believe this was so long ago! oops!! December 10th... we went to see the Americans play the Canadians!! :) Oh yeah!! We were up 1-0, then we tied, we scored again... now we're at 2-1...then we tied again...why? oh, just because of mumble, mumble (I mean, an auto goal!! Man!! What's up with that!!) but in the last minute, we scored again and so picked our faces back up off the floor. Tory was fascinated the whole time! She just stared and stared. She was startled a couple times when the players BANGED into the sides of the rink, but she recovered quickly. :)

No puedo creer que ya fue hace tanto tiempo esto! ups! El 10 de diciembre fuimos a ver los Americanos jugar contra los Canadienses.  Nosotros metimos el primer gol, luego nos empataron.  Metimos otro gol, y vamos ganando 2-1.  Empatamos otra vez porque metieron auto gol esta vez (ay, ay, ay!!) pero en el último minuto metimos un gol mas (en la portería correcta esta vez) y ganamos! :)  Tory estaba facinada todo el tiempo!! Miraba y miraba por todos lados y solo se asustó un par de veces cuando los jugadores se tiraban contra la pared, pero se recuperó rápidamente. :)

Snow Day!! :)

So, this was about two weeks ago, now.... our second snow day! :) It snowed so much, I was not able to drive to teach my Spanish class the next day (oh... so sad!) and the snow stuck around for almost a week!  :) It was cool.  Here we are with my cousin, Zack, having fun in the falling snow and making snow angels.

Pues, ésto pasó hace como dos semanas ya.... nuestro segundo día de nieve! :)  Nevó tanto que el siguiente día, ni modo, no pude ir a enseñar Español (ay, que tristeza) y la nieve no se derritió por casi una semana! :) Si que estuvo chivo.  Aqui estamos con mi primo, Zack, jugando en la nieve, haciendo angelitos. :)

Numbers

Up to now, I have been keeping Tory's records on her calendar, but now that the calendar is filled, I was wondering where to write it, and as far as I know, this is the best place. So bear with me, some of you, and for others: enjoy! :)  I just took her to her 15 month check-up (how did she get there so fast?).  She got four shots, but that is IT, until she is four years old! Yippee!! :)  Here are her stats:  she is 32.5 in. long (97%), weighs 22.3 lbs. (48%), and head circumference is 45 cm (25%).  And here are some fun pictures Edwin took.  (Yes, one is upside down... hee, hee)

Hasta ahora, he puesto la información de Tory en su calendario, pero ahora que se ha llenado eso, no he sabido donde ponerlo.... y decidí que aquí es el mejor lugar.  Asi que, para unos, hay que aguantar esto y para otros: disfruten.  Acabo de llevarla al doctor para su chequeo de 15 meses (Cómo llegó ahí tan rápido?).  Le pusieron 4 injecciones, pero ya no tiene que tener más hasta los 4 años de edad! Que chivo!  Bueno, ahora mide 32.5 pulgadas (está en el 97%), pesa 22.3 libras (48%) y su cabeza mide 45 cm (25%).  Y aquí hay unas fotos chistosas que tomó Ediwn.  Si, hay una foto que está al revés . . . ji, ji.
