Easter

I feel some much gratefulness! Thank you, Jesus, for my patient, generous husband. For my two daughters, their smiles and laughter light up my days. Thank you for the gift of grandparents nearby, an answer to a prayer made long, long ago. Thank you for the love and encouragement of precious family and friends, both near and far. And most of all, thank you for a day where I can stop to remember the sacrifice you made for me and all these I know and love. It was so long ago, yet the impact is as strong as though you died and rose this past week. What great love! Thank you for reaching out to me first.

¡Me siento tan agradecida! Gracias, Jesús, por mi esposo tan generoso y paciente. Por mis dos hijas cuyas sonrisas y risas iluminan mis días. Gracias por el regalo de abuelos que viven cerca de mi, una oración hecha hace tanto años. Gracias por el amor y el ánimo que dan mi amada familia y amigos, que viven cerca y lejos. Y más que todo, gracias por un día donde puedo parar y recordar el sacrificio que hiciste por mi y para todos éstos que conozco y amo. Pasó hace tantos años pero el impacto de tu muerte y resurrección es tan poderoso como si hubiera pasado ésta semana. ¡Qué gran amor! Gracias por haberme buscado a mí primero.

Bath Time.... together! :)

Well, I will not be repeating this for a few months, but one night this week, I thought it would be fun to try out putting them in the bath together. Since Natalia is not able to sit up on her own yet, she really did not get washed that evening... she and Tory just had a little fun together.... :) It was cute nonetheless. It has also been a long time since I have taken a picture of sleeping Tory.... so I asked Edwin to get a couple of shots to have something to look back on and remember these days in the distant future..... :)

Pues no estaré repitiéndo éste evento por unos meses, pero tuve que probar darles un baño juntas una noche la semana pasada. Como Natalia aún no se sienta sola, en realidad no la bañé, pero Tory y ella se divirtieron mucho.... :) También ha pasado mucho teimpo desde que le tomamos una fota a Tory durmiendo... así que le pedí a Edwin tomar una foto para tenerlo de recuerdo para cuando pasen los años y lo queramos recordar..... :)

Mufasa

So, every now and then Tory takes a break from her princess craze to imagine herself as King Mufasa, from the Lion King. We got her the lion outfit for Halloween last year, since she was all into lions at the time. The first two pictures are of our outing to the mall on Halloween, barely 5 days after Natalia had been born. Needless to say, the two-hour outing almost floored me - okay, it actually DID floor me, I was so exhausted afterward! Anyway, Tory watched the funny parts of the Lion King and then wanted to wear her costume again and pretend to be Mufasa. No, not Simba or even Nala... no, it had to be Mufasa, the Daddy! Oh, and I had to add a tribute to Natalia, too... :)

Pues, de vez en cuando Tory toma un descanso de ser princesa para imaginar que es el Rey Mufasa de la película el Rey León. Le compramos el traje del león para Halloween el año pasado porque en ese tiempo le gustaba mucho los leones. Las primeras dos fotos son de cuando fuimos al centro comercial para Halloween el año pasado. ¡Apenas tenía 5 días de haber nacido Natalia! Después de caminar por 2 horas, yo estaba TAN cansada y adolorida! :) Pero, bueno, recientemente, Tory ha visto las partes chistosas del Rey León y después quería vestirse de león para imaginarse ser Mufasa. No, no quiso ser Simba, ni siquiera Nala... no, ella quería ser el papá: Mufasa! :) Ah, y tuve que incluir una foto de Natalia al final también. :)

Claire and Jack

Claire and Jack have also continued to visit! Jack is growing and is such a handsome boy! :) He was smiling away, and pulling at Natalias sock (which she did not even notice, it seems). Tory and Claire had fun as well. The one really blurry picture I just had to include, because it was too cute watching them hold hands to twirl around.

Claire y Jack también siguen visitando! :) Jack está creciendo y es un niño tan guapo! :) Es bien sonriente y este día estaba jalandole el calcetín a Natalia, la cuál ni se fijó. :) Tory y Claire se divirtieron también. La foto bien borrosa la tuve que incluir porque fue bonito verlas tomadas de la mano para ir a bailar y jugar.

Katriel and Analise

This past Monday, Tory and Natalia had a couple of visitors come over to play! :) Katriel was born in May of 2006, so she is only a few months older than Tory. Analise was born in August of 2008. They had so much fun, as you can see, playing princesses, giggling, coloring, and playing outside.

Éste lunes pasado, Tory y Natalia tuvieron unas visitas venir a jugar! :) Katriel nació en mayo del 2006 así que sólo le lleva unos meses a Tory. Analise nació en agosto del 2008. Todas se divirtieron tanto, como pueden ver, jugando a las princesas, riéndose, coloreando y jugando afuera.

So, when I opened the first folder on my computer, this is the 10th picture I came to. Ha! ha! It is a picture Edwin took of the hospital room number where Natalia was born.

Cuando abrí el primer folder en mi computadora, ésta fué la décima foto! :) ja, ja! Es una foto que tomó Edwin del número del cuarto en el hospital donde nació Natalia.












So, I went to the external drive, and got on the first folder there, to see what I would find, and here it is: Edwins first mission trip to Mexico in June of 2006. Here are some of the members of the team. They were taking a break from painting a church. That coke in a bottle looks SOOO good!! :)

Así que fuí a la memoria externa y la primera foto que encontré ahí fué ésta: el primer viaje misionero que hizo Edwin a México en junio del 2006. Ellos son unos miembros del equipo. :) Estaban tomando un descanso de estar pintando una iglesia. Esas cocas en botella se miran TAAAAAN ricas!!! :)

Daddy Time

It really is a special thing to see Daddy and Tory reading, playing princesses, and a little baseball together! :) Edwin is so awesome with Tory and Natalia! :) He comes home every day after getting up before dawn, traveling 40 min. to and from work, and still will lay down on the couch and pretend to be Sleeping Beauty so she can come kiss him and wake him up. :) He then will help with dinner, give them a bath, read stories to them, and even help with the dishes and put the food away! You are the best, Edwin! Thank you! I love you....

And yes, Tory is ALL into the princesses right now! She loves to carry them everywhere with her, and she pretends with them all day long. A couple of days she even had Jack-Jack, Gus-Gus, and Mary (Cinderellas mice friends) following us around, jumping into the car with us, and going to hang out at Nanas house with us, too. She will hold up each princess and ask me to remind her which song goes with which princess, then she will sing the song to the princess. She also loves to put on dresses that are long and flowy, and she especially likes for Edwin or I to dance with her. I am sure that if Natalia could stand up and walk, Tory would have her all dressed up and dancing along with us, too. For now, she just asks me to please put a pretty dress on Natalia, too. Okay... so she is also pretty good at hitting the ball and Edwin is also teaching her how to throw a ball correctly... :) And... here is proof that Edwin has a special touch when taking pictures.... mine are a little more blurry and such.... but at least I caught a few special moments of them together.... :)

Es algo muy especial ver a Tory y a su Papi leyendo, jugando a las princesas y al beisbol juntos. ¡Edwin es tan fabuloso con las niñas! Viene a casa todos los días después de haberse levantando antes del sol, viajado 40 min. al trabajo y de regreso y aún así, cuando Tory le pide a Edwin acostarse en el sofá y cerrar los ojos para jugar al bello durmiente, él felizmente lo hace. Ella luego va y lo besa para despertarlo.... :) Luego, me ayuda con la cena, a bañarlas, les lee cuentos y también me ayuda a limpiar la cocina y guardar la comida. ¡Eres lo mejor, Edwin!! ¡Gracias! Te amo.....

Y si, a Tory le ENCANTAN las princesas! Las lleva por todas partes con ella y pretende hablar con ellas todo el día. Un par de días también se imaginaba que los ratoncitos de la Cenicienta - Jack-Jack, Gus-Gus, y Mary - nos seguían por todas partes, se metían al carro e iban con nosotros a visitar a Nana. También me muestra cada princesa y me pregunta que cuál es la canción de esa princesa y luego se lo canta. También le gusta mucho ponerse vestidos largos y en especial le gusta bailar con Edwin o con migo. Estoy segura de que si Natalia pudiera caminar Tory ya la hubiera vestido en algún vestido largo para poder bailar con ella. Por ahora, solo me pide que vista a Natalia en un vestido bonito, igual que la de ella. :) Bueno, pero también puede pegarle bien a la pelota y Edwin le está enseñando a tirar la pelota correctamente . . . :) Y en éstas fotos tienen prueba de que Edwin es el que tiene el toque especial con la cámara pues a mí me salieron un poco borrosas . . . pero al menos pude capturar unos buenos momentos de ellos dos.... :)
