Tory Smiles!
It has been seriously hard to get Tory to smile for the camera! She always scrunches up her eye and says, Eye! Hurt! because of the flash. But yesterday, as we took a short break from putting up the Christmas tree, she was all smiles. She loves the lights on the tree and loves playing with the shiny decoration balls you put on the tree. She calls the big one Mommy and the little ones Baby and plays with a selection of them. :)
Giving Thanks . . .
On thanksgiving I was remembering how a few years back, Edwin and I just went to Jack in the Box and drove over to watch the beautiful river. It was nice, but only the two of us. Now, we have Tory, plus my grandparents, aunt and cousin.... and what a blessing it is, and has been to have them close by! Grandma made a delicious meal, and Aunt Laura topped us off with some pecan and pumpkin pie! The last picture does not seem to go with the theme, but Tory potty training has permeated our lives this week. And she was so funny sitting there with a beanie, feet in hot water, and eating a popsicle. :)

A day at the park
The only thing to comment on is that if you notice, Edwin offered to lend me his jacket, since he was not cold. If fact, he is so not cold, he was wearing shorts and flip-flops! Wish my blood was that thick!

one on one with Papi
This is one intense game of soccer! :) Whenever real games come on TV, Tory always runs over to where the controls are, gets one out, and begins to furiously push all the buttons! :) hee, hee!
Just leafing around . . .
Here's Tory having a blast in the leaves with newfound friends, Calvin and Blaise! :) We've had so much fun getting together!

Fall Frenzy '08
Third year and counting . . . can you find me? hint: ARG! Every year for the past three years, our church goes to the school I used to teach at and in each classroom different games are set up for the children to play and do Halloween (we call it Fall Frenzy instead) in a safe environment. It is kind of like a fair only it is inside a school and everybody is dressed up. Well, we were in charge of Pumpkin Bowling and Pumpkin Golf. If you are wondering, Edwin is dressed up as . . . um . . . "Mr. Happy". I tried to get Tory used to my costume when at home, but every time I put on the black wig, well, she wigged out on me. (HA HA!) So, instead of suffering through a very scary evening (for her), I decided to leave her with "nana" and she had a blast! While we spent a very busy two hours cheering, encouraging, smiling, giving out bowling and golf balls, and putting the bowling pins back up (over and over and over again).
El tercer año ya . . . ¿me pueden encontrar? Pista: ARG!!

Games, Horses, and Love
Yay! It is always exciting to have Mom and Dad (Grandma and Grandpa) visit us. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures... none at all of Dad (boo!), but since he did take some pictures that include himself, I'll get those from him later and add them. But, here we are, just soaking each other up. Tory was much faster at accepting gama and gapa this time around. Mom and I caught up on some Settlers, and we also had fun feeding apples to our neighborhood horses. Mom also got Tory some adorable puppets which Tory loved putting together and playing with. Mom and I were also able to leave Tory with Edwin a few times to go enjoy some time together at Barnes and Nobles and even Olive Garden! Yum!! Thank you for wonderful memories and great talks, Mom and Dad! We love and miss you!
¡Si!

Eh, what do you think of Tory's perfect basketball hook? Shall she choose that over soccer? Oh my!

Kiera!
Ok, ok, AND uncle Paul and auntie Michele too!! :) I was pleasantly surprised at how well Tory did with Kiera. She let me hold her, and as you can see, they hung out together pretty well! :) Since the last time I saw Kiera she was only a few weeks old, it was neat to see how much she's grown since then! :) So fun!
