Reagan visits (oh, and aunt Lisa, too!) :)

Wow! What a wonderful, painful (for the sickies), joyful, and comical time we had! :) My sister, Lisa, and her daughter, Reagan (who is only 3 weeks younger than Tory) came to visit for 2 weeks! Her first week here, Tory got a high fever and an infection in her sinuses, giving her a swollen eye! My brother, Paul, and his wife, Michele, also came down for a weekend while Lisa was here and we went pumpkin hunting... :) The following week was a lot better for Tory... her eye calmed down and now she was ready to kiss and love on her cousin... even share her toys! :) They were also able to dress up for Halloween together! Since they would be in bed by the time it was time to Trick or Treat, we dressed them up during the whole day instead. :) Reagan was a fairy/ballerina and Tory was Little Red Riding Hood. It was SO much fun having them visit. Thank you, once more, Lisa, for coming! It was so special... and thank you, Todd, for letting us have her for so long... :) We miss you... Tory looks into your bedroom... looking for her favorite playmate... :) We love you!!

Wow! Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso, doloroso (para los enfermitos), gozoso y chistoso!! Mi hermana, Lisa, y su hija, Reagan (que sólo es 3 semanas menor que Tory) vinieron a visitarnos por 2 semanas. Su primera semana aquí, se enfermó Tory con fiebre y una infección en la sinosítis que le dejó inchado el ojo izquierdo! Pobrecita!! Mi hermano, Paul, y su esposa, Michele, también vinieron a visitar un fin de semana y fuimos a buscar calabazas . . . :) La siguiente semana fue mucho mejor para Tory . . . se le calmó su ojo y ahora si estaba lista para amar y besar a su primita . . . y hasta compartir juguetes. :) También pudieron vestirse para Halloween juntas! Ya que iban a estar dormidas para cuando fuera tiempo de ir a pedir dulces, las tuvimos disfrasadas todo el día. :) Reagan fue una hada/baletista y Tory fue la Caperucita Roja. Fue TAN divertido que nos visitaran. Gracias, nuevamente, Lisa, por venir! Fué muy especial para nosotros... y gracias, Todd por prestarnoslas por tanto tiempo... :) Las extrañamos . . . Tory va al cuarto donde se quedaron y busca a su primita . . . :) Las queremos mucho!

Calabaza, calabaza

Edwin's only day off (Monday), we went to the Pumpkin Patch! :) We had a great time on the hay ride, petting the pony (and rabbit, duck, cow, sheep, pig . . .) and picking out our very first set of pumpkins! :) Tory loved looking inside the pumpkins as we were cleaning them out and especially when the candles went in and they lit up! Wow. Oh, yeah... and the ice cream! Boy, was that fun! :) Yum!

El único día libre de Edwin (lunes) fuimos a escoger unas calabazas para decorar en la casa. Nos divertimos mucho al subirnos al "carruaje" que jalaba el tractor, ver los animales (pony, conejo, pato, vaca, oveja, cerdo . . . ) y escojer nuestras calabazas. A Tory le fascinó ver cómo le quitabamos "las entrañas" a la calabaza y especialmente cuando le pusimos la velita y se veían tan bonito en la oscuridad! Ah! Y también le encantó el sorbete... vaya, que divertido! :) Y rico!

There's not too much to say about these pictures... :) except that Tory is wearing a red cape that I used to wear when I was little (around 5 years old, I think) and I can still remember wearing it and playing that I was Little Red Riding Hood! Tory thinks it's fun too. She also really enjoys copying whatever I'm doing around the house... you know, all that exciting sweeping and loading of the dishwasher stuff we do here. At the end... you can see how much she LOVES popsicles - but now it is TOO COLD!! Brrr!!

No hay mucho que decir sobre estas fotos... :) solamente que Tory tiene puesto una capa roja que yo usaba cuando era chiquita (como de 5 años o por ahi) y aun me acuerdo habermelo puesto y de jugar que era la Caperucita Roja. Tory también piensa que es divertido. También le gusta copiar lo que hago por la casa... cosas emocionantes como barrer y llenar el lavaplatos. :) Al final verán cuánto le gustan las paletas . . . pero ya no las comemos porque hace UN FRIO!!!

Or in my MOUTH!! :) Here's to my attempt at catching up... these were taken sometime during September (probably the middle of it). I wanted to give a tribute to Elizabeth, Jonathan, and my attempts at getting Tory's hair to stick straight up! :) I think her hair is just too long! But at least she sure loves those bubbles! :) The next set of pictures were one day when Tory and I were a little bored... and I had this huge cooler just laying around.... why not put it to good use? She wasn't in for very long, but she looked so cute, I took a couple of pictures. :)

Estas fotos las tomamos a mediadas de Septiembre asi que, como podrán ver, estoy un poco atrasada... Las primeras fotos son un tributo a el intento que hicimos Elizabeth, Jonathan y yo de parar el pelo de Tory al bañarla... creo que su pelo es demasiado largo! :) Pero si que le gustaron las burbujas. . . hasta en la boca!! Uy!!!! Las otras fotos son de un dia en Septiembre que estabamos un poco aburriditas las dos y habia ese cooler en la cocina asi que lo usamos para divertirnos un ratito. No duro mucho tiempo ahi, pero se veia tan linda, que le tome unas fotitos... :)
