Natalia Danielle

Born October 26, 2009 - 8lbs. 9.7oz. at 7:54pm. She was 20.5 in long :) We thank God for bringing her into our lives! It was funny because it was her due date and that morning we took Tory to her music class, visited a friend, and went home to eat lunch. Right when we were finishing up, the hospital called. They said they had heard that I had come in a couple times but had to go home, and how would I like to come in and have that baby today? :) So, Edwin and I jumped in the car, all smiles, and headed to the hospital! :) They checked and discovered I was at 4cm already!! :) I then requested that wonderful epidural before getting the pitocin started. We had the most WONDERFUL nurses and Dr. Custodio from APW was so professional and focused. :) Natalia Danielle was born that evening! It was so special to have Edwin and my parents there cheering me on.

Nació el 26 de octubre del 2009 - 8 libras, 9.7 onzas a las 7:54 de la noche. Le damos gracias a Dios por haberla traido a nuestras vidas!! :) Fue chistoso porque era la fecha que le tocaba nacer y esa mañana llevamos a Tory a su clase de música, visitamos a una amiga y regresamos a almorzar a la casa. Justo al terminar de comer, nos llama el hospital y me dice que oyeron que ya había ido dos veces pero que me habían mandado de regreso a la casa.... y que tal? Me gustaría tener a esa bebé hoy? :) Así que Edwin y yo nos metimos rapidito al carro y con unas grandes sonrisas nos fuimos al hospital para ser inducida. Cuando me revisaron, vieron que ya estaba a 4 cm. :) Luego, pedí la injección del epidural antes de que me pusieran la droga para causar contracciones. Tuvimos enfermeras maravillosas que nos atendieron y el Dr. Custodio fue muy profesional y atento. Natalia Danielle nació esa noche!! Fue muy especial tener a Edwin y a mis papás ahí apoyandome. :)

P.S. We changed Natalias name the day before we left the hospital from Natalia LeAnn to Natalia Danielle, for a couple of reasons... If we had had a boy, we were going to name him Daniel, because I really admire the prophet and his uncompromising obedience to God. He also reminds me of my mom. That first night, as I was dozing between feedings :), I was thinking about the name Daniel, and I tried out Natalia Danielle and really liked it.... so did Edwin. :) We thought about it for a day and a half, then decided to go for that instead. :) At least we had not done the birth certificate yet.

Cambiamos el nombre de Natalia el día antes de salir del hospital de Natalia LeAnn a Natalia Danielle por un par de razones.... si hubieramos tenido un niño, lo ibamos a llamar Daniel, porque admiro mucho al profeta Daniel de la Biblia por su obediencia a Dios. El también me recuerda mucho a mi mamá. Esa primera noche después de que nació, al dormir entre comidas, estaba pensando en el nombre Daniel y probré como sonara Danielle y Daniela y me gustó mucho Natalia Danielle... y también le gustó a Edwin. :) Lo pensamos un par de días, luego decidimos cambiarselo a eso mejor. Al menos no habíamos llenado la partida de nacimiento aún. :)
