Easter

Wait, wasn't Easter, like, a month ago? Yeah, yeah . . . but at least I'm putting the pictures up, right? :) hee, hee. Oh, well. We had two separate occasions we hunted eggs. :) First, Tory was invited by her good pal, Claire, to go to a special MOPS celebration, at church. It was neat because they gathered all the kiddos together and told the story of Jesus dying on the cross and rising again, by opening up different eggs with parts of the story hidden inside each egg. Tory even got a turn at opening an egg. She thought that was just great! Then, we all went outside and Tory finally caught on that she was supposed to pick up an egg (any egg, Tory!) and put it in her basket. One time an egg fell and opened up (they were plastic), and all the candy came tumbling out. She got to have a piece, and boy did she catch on to the idea after that! Then it was, okay, I guess the basket is a little full, there, Tory . . . :) Thankfully, we were only allowed to keep 10, so the rest could be given away to other boys and girls who might not get eggs at home.
The second time around was with real eggs. Nana had boiled a WHOLE dozen eggs just for Tory! She had kept them in the fridge, just waiting for Tory to come over. :) She was so cute as we taught her to gently place the egg into the dye. She was so careful and slow! Then, as they dried, OOHHH!! Stickers!! So much fun! Then, on the actual day (a few days later), it again took a bit of explaining, that no, we were not taking the eggs away from her forever... it was to play a fun game of hide and seek! When she finally caught on, it was a ball! Everyone had a turn hiding the eggs for Tory... :) So fun!

:) ¡Tan divertido!

So cute! It looks like she had a great time at Grandma's dyeing eggs. We were not that ambitious this year, maybe Claire will be ready for it next year. We'll see...
