My Students

Just thought I'd put some pictures of some of my students when we did some Christmas centers at school. Aren't they cute! I can say that 'cause they are so . . . stationary!

An Early Christmas!

December 16, 17, and 18 was a blast, except for one thing . . .Lisa's absence. We all knew we wouldn't be together for Actual Christmas . . . Kelly, Jon and the kids would be in Seattle with Jon's family, Edwin and I would be in El Salvador with Edwin's family, and Paul and Christy would be in Virginia with her family . . . so we all decided to celebrate OUR Christmas early, but together. Friday, we had a DELICIOUS breakfast at the Hoxworth's (thank you Doug and Nicole!), then we headed off to see our much anticipated movie: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! Of course, we played many games of Settlers and on Saturday... we had the gift frenzy, followed by a WONDERFUL, traditional, turkey meal. It felt like Christmas to us! It was even a white Christmas, though only Jon, Mom and Dad might have identified much with a WHITE Christmas... we still need our firecrackers for it to be Christmas.... :) hee, hee.... but we had a great time!

El 16, 17 y 18 de diciembre fueron dias muy divertidos, menos el hecho de no tener a Lisa con nosotros. Todos sabíamos que no ibamos a estar juntos para la navidad verdadera . . . Jon, Kelly y los niños estarían en Seattle con la familia de Jon, Edwin y yo estaríamos en El Salvador con la familia de Edwin y Pablo y Christy estarían en Viginia con la familia de ella . . . asi que decidimos celebrar NUESTRA Navidad temprano, pero juntos. El viernes vimos una pelicula muy anticipada por nosotros: El león, la bruja y el ropero. Por supuesto, jugamos mucho un juego que se llama Settlers y el sabado . . . abrimos todos los regalos como locos, seguido por un delicioso almuerzo de pavo tradicional. ¡Se sintió como navidad! Hasta Jon y mis papás tuvieron una navidad blanca, aunque para nosotros faltaban los cohetes para que fuera una navidad de verdad . . ja, ja . . . pero sí que nos divertimos.

Elizabeth's birthday

December 5th, 2005, we had great fun celebrating Elizabeth's 11th birthday!! Kelly decorated her house colorfully, prepared games (Salvadoran Style!) for all the kids, and we had delicious cake. Elizabeth sure enjoyed all her presents! Happy Birthday!! :)

El 5 de diciembre del 2005 - ¡Nos divertimos mucho celebrando el 11º cumpleaños de Elizabeth! Kelly decoró su casa con mucho colores y preparó juegos salvadoreños para los niños. ¡El pastel también estaba muy rico! ¡Elizabeth sí que disfrutó de sus regalos! ¡Feliz cumpleaños!

Wolfpack!!

Edwin had a GREAT soccer season . . . here are some proud pictures of his team . . . the howling WOLFPACKS!! They lost only one of all their games this season . . . Poor Edwin.... he has to wait 5 whole months before the season kicks off again next spring.
Edwin tuvo una SUPER temporada de futból . . . aqui hay unas fotos orgullosos de su equipo . . . ¡¡¡La Manada de Lobos Ahulladoras!!! Sólo perdieron un juego en toda la temporada . . . Pobre Edwin, tiene que esperar 5 meses enteros para que empieze la nueva temporada en la primavera que viene.




















Last week, the Wolfpack got together to celebrate the end of their season with a little rock climbing/swimming in November party at the Racquet Club!! They obviously had a blast. :)
La semana pasada La Manada de Lobos se reunieron para celebrar el final de su temporada con una fiesta de escalar y nadar en noviembre en un club. ¡Obviamente se divertieron mucho!
