New milestones! :)

Well, as you can see, Tory can now scoot, or pull herself around... :) and she sits up pretty well, but I have the boppy there behind her just in case... she's growing so fast! I'm really loving this stage, though... she laughs out loud now, and loves to be tickled, and she is experimenting with her voice, making ba, ba sounds in all sorts of pitches and volumes... :)
Bueno, como pueden ver, Tory puede moverse ahora, jalandose con sus brazos . . . y se siente sola mas o menos bien, pero por si acaso, puse la almohada atras. Esta creciendo tan rapido!! Pero esta etapa me gusta mucho... se rie a carcajadas y le encanta que le hagan cosquillas y esta experimentando con su voz... le hace ba, ba en diferentes tonos y volumenes.... :)

Okay... I know I've been back in the States for a couple weeks now... but there were still a few more "moments" from El Salvador to share.... :)
Esta bien... se que ya he estado en los Estados unas dos semanas . . . pero aun hay unas fotitos que compartir de nuestro tiempo en El Salvador...


Baby dedication on Dec. 31st. Both babies are wearing dresses made from their grandmother's (on daddy's side) wedding dresses!!
Dedicación en el 31 de dic. Las dos bebés están usando vestidos hechos de los vestidos de boda de las abuelitas (de parte de papá).

Aww... too bad he didn't have his childhood "LUCHADOR" mask come Halloween time... he makes a GREAT strong-bad, don't you think?

Ahh... que lástima que no encontró su máscara de LUCHADOR de su niñez a tiempo para Halloween.... hace un buen "strong-bad", ¿no lo creen?

More Panajachel - a month later

I realized I have some pictures the rest of you (my family) don't have. . . so I thought I'd share, 'cause I really like them.... hee, hee. I was going to put a video of Tory in her exosaucer, but my memory stick reader went through the wash (and dryer) so I think it's pretty kaput... so I need to find my usp or ups or whatever it's called thingy wire.... anyway.... enjoy! :) (and the rest of you need to UPDATE your blogs . . . I only get to steal away to the library every so often . . . so get some pictures up . . . ) Love you all! :)

Bumpy road

Edwin's older sister, Claudia, works with a Nutrition non-profit company, and her job this day was to deliver notebooks and other school supplies to children way in the "boon docks" . . . everybody gets around either walking, riding a horse, and/or taking a bus out . . . so the roads aren't exactly suited for a regular car . . . it was quite the ride.... and Tory either slept, ate, or smiled the whole trip. She was great . . . and can now say she went everywhere . . . to the lake, the beach, the mountains... a super nice, expensive mall.... and to the poorest of the poor that look for plastic in dump sites to sell.
Claudia trabaja con una compania de nutricion, y este dia su trabajo era llevar cuadernos y otros utiles escolares a ninos viviendo en el campo. Todos alli o caminan o van a caballo y de vez en cuando en bus si quieren salir del area . . . asi que las calles no estaban tan buenas para un carro regular . . . fue un viaje muy interesante . . . y Tory o durmio o comio o sonrio todo el viaje . . . fue grandiosa . . . y ahora ella puede decir que ha ido a todos lo lugares . . . al lago, a la playa, a las montanas . . . de un centro comercial super cara y bonita hasta un canton pobre donde los ninos buscan plasticos en los basureros para vender.

Another day at the beach

This time it was with Edwin's side of the family . . . Tory loves the water and like any good day at the beach, filled her swimsuit with lots of sand!! She had a nice, long nap after this day in the sun!
Esta vez fue con la familia de parte de Edwin . . . a Tory le encanta el agua y como cualquier buen dia en el mar, lleno su calzoneta con mucha arena.... y si que durmio bien la siesta ese dia!!

Lake Coatepeque

Karen, Edwin's sister, has a special friend called Hector.... :) He took us to a really nice place on a lake with a swimming pool and a beautiful view of Lake Coatepeque, which used to be a volcano a very, very long time ago. I also had to include a couple of Edwin's nature shots... :)
Hector, novio de Karen, nos llevo a un lugar bien bonito en el lago que tenia piscina y una vista bella al Lago Coatepeque, el cual fue volcan hace mucho, mucho tiempo. Tambien tuve que incluir unas fotos de la naturaleza que tomo Edwin.

Christmas 2006

Well, I finally got to Christmas.... so much has been going on... it's hard to keep up!!
Bueno, al fin llegue a Navidad.... han habido tantas cosas que hacer, que ha sido dificil estar al tanto....
