Ice-cream and fun in the pool

I have fond memories of making home-made ice-cream with my grandpa when I was a little tyke... so yummy! We got to re-live those memories just a smidget this past weekend, minus my grandpa, plus two HUGE ice-cream maker machines. Tory and I had a blast playing together in a little blown-up pool while Edwin and some of the high schoolers made the ice-cream. They also made brownies that evening, then sold the ice-cream and brownies to our church congregation the next day to help raise funds for our mission trip to El Salvador this August. :) The place we made the ice cream had many neat, old machines which have been fixed up. They also have a neat little pond area with some cool goldfish, which Tory enjoyed very much. Oh, and yes... Tory refused to swim in her underwear, since I did not think to bring a swimsuit along . . .

Yo tengo unas buenas memorias con mi abuelo haciendo sorbete hecho en casa cuando yo estaba pequeña . . . ¡tan rico! Pudimos hacer algo similar este fin de semana, pero fue sin mi abuelo y fue con dos maquinas INMENSAS para hacer el sorbete. :) Tory y yo nos divertimos mucho jugando en una piscinita que nos prestaron mientras Edwin y los jóvenes hacían el sorbete. Esa noche también hicieron brownies y el siguiente día lo vendieron a los miembros de la iglesia para recaudar fondos para poder ir a El Salvador en agosto! :) El lugar donde hicimos el sorbete tiene muchas máquinas viejas que los han restaurado. También tienen una área bonita donde cae agua a una piscinita donde hay peces. Le gustó mucho a Tory. Ah, y sí, Tory rehusó bañarse en sus blumeres ya que yo no pensé en llevar una calzoneta....
